Before the Warmaster came to Molech, the imperial commander, Cyprian Devine and his son Raeven went on a hunt to kill some rampaging Mallahgra in the Untar mesas range
Father and son tread warily in the wilderness
The beast observe from the depths of the jungle
Raeven's mount, Banelash, scouts ahead, finding nothing
Cyprian's knight, Hellblade, finds a vicious beast and a brutal fight ensues
Leaving both opponents battered
Raeven takes his chance and dispatches the wounded monster, grudgingly saving his father
Hellblade roams ahead
While Raeven looks for game on the other side
The fruitless exploration continues
Until a maddened creature pounces upon battered Hellblade
Killing Cyprian outright!
With his dream of becoming Imperial Commander fulfilled, Raeven abandons the hunt and his hated father to the hungry Mallahgra...
The traitor invasion is now in full swing, the Warmaster has made landfall at the strategically negligible island of Damesek, while his brother Mortarion razes distant Ophir. The Death Guard crosses the supposedly impenetrable jungles of Kush and attacks the weakly defended Preceptor Line
Just a bunch of knight from house Donar under lord Balmorn stand against Mortarion and his Death's Head allied titans
Legio Mortis advances contemptuously
Shaken by the unexpected attack, Balmorn is incapable of issuing orders
But his knights advance valiantly under a smoke screen
With confidence regained, Balmorn orders flanking speed
The knight take cover
The war engine moves ponderously, only to step on some thermal mines
With a quick sprint house Donar is behind the warlord
The titan advances, but the knights surround it and cut off its legs
As the titan falls it fires for the last time, taking down some knights with it
The battered remnants of house Donar march south to Lupercalia to join the defenders there
