Storm of Chaos campaign map

 

Another map, this time for the Storm of Chaos supplement.

When deploying the evil side should be placed on the right half of the map and the good on the left.

Middenheim DV4

This territory provides both he benefits of a fortress and a major city, if attacked play the siege scenario. Any chaos army that conquers this city automatically wins the campaign and brings the world to its end!

Sylvania campaign map

 

Here's another Inkarnate map, this time of the foul land of Sylvania.

The map is designed to work with the campaign system of the Lustria supplement, in which every territory has it's own rules and the numbers are the result needed to traverse the roads.

These are the two new territories:

Malign Locus: Imbued by dark magic this place will infuse new power in the practitioners of the dark arts. The territory adds one power and one dispel dice to the controlling armies: Vampire Counts, Tomb Kings, Chaos Hordes, Beastmen, Chaos Dwarfs, Dark Elves. Defence Value 1

Presence of enemy army:

1-3 play battle of the necropolis

4-5 play the fall of Chaqua

Deadly Forest: Use the forest encounter rules shown in WD 121 (305 UK). Defence Value 2

Presence of enemy army:

1-3 play battle of the burned banner

4-5 play the battle of Pine Crags

Road to Temenos: redemptionist roadblock

 

Across the Ash Wastes the Redemption marched triumphant. Purging the sacred desert of heretics and bringing salvation to the rest, the crusade entered the Temenos Washrine, claiming the sacred Iron Skull for the most blessed Prophet.

Alas the forces of evil never rest, and soon we saw a host of sinners clad in the corrupt trappings of Helmawr crest the horizon riding at full speed towards the holy temple

Alien abominations and degenerate mercenaries filled their pustulent ranks, headed by that most abominable of deviants: the repulsive noble Haera

After trading shots with the heretic vanguard, our hearts rejoiced when the Pulpitek joined our sanctified struggle with its formidable firepower and blazing icons of faith

At the forefront of the defenece was the blessed Redeemer, unleashing his holy wrath on the heretic scum with the Sword of Persecution

The sinners approached our lines coming closer and closer

While we laid in ambush waiting for them to come closer

It was then that brave Alpha sprang unbidden into the foe, jumping among their ranks and felling oppressor after oppressor with her mastercrafted blade

And in the Emperor's eyes were they found wanting!

The Pulpitek joined the onslaught with heavy mining lasers, atomizing one of the deviant mercs that dared approach our holy turf

Even the impudent Haera was brought down by the faithful, all her riches and titles worthless before the cleansing fire of Redemption!

And lo behold, the Master of Mankind took notice of our holy struggle and blessed our weapons with holy flame, all the better to smite the heretics that rose against Him

In a last, desperate, bid to cross our lines the blasphemers formed an armoured spearhead

But one by one were they hunted and brought to account for their unspeakable sins

Proving once more that only the Redemption is the one true cause!

Bloodied and scourged the ragged remnants of the misnamed imperial house slunk back to the pestilent holes from where they had sprung, leaving the shrine in the hands of the faithful, praise be!

Road to temenos: battle for the wayshrine

 

Second installment of the campaign today with the eschers on the offensive. Having challenged the arbites for the Veil of veronos relic, the deadly amazons sprung an ambush on Judge Dread while he's making the rounds in an ash wastes settlement

Seizing the initiative, the brightly clad gangers fire on the lawman

You're doing time creeps!

Alerted by their officer, more arbites begin to stream into the field

Only to be set on fire by an escher champion

It is then that a sinuous cat springs from cover

Felling the mighty judge with a swipe of its razor sharp claws

And leaving him to bleed out in the ground

With the the judge killed, the escher bag another territory close to Hive Primus

Battle of Salamanca

 

After Wellington's hard won victory at Badajoz it was time for the final showdown at Salamanca. The brits have a tough game ahead of them, with the french forces of marshal Marmont entrenched in the Arapiles heights

The french right is anchored on Calvarrassa de Arriba, while Wellington's center lays on Arapiles itself

The british start the battle with a massive attack on the Monte de Azán, where the battle's main objective is based

Le Marchant's heavy dragoons lead the charge

On the left the light division marches towards the heights

The imperials form in square, becoming pinned in place while the scots close the distance

The french then launch an assault on the weakened british center

Light dragoons and chasseurs clash on the right

A fight that goes in the brit's favor thanks to their better line formation

The riders charge onward, beheading general Thomiéres on the way

The redcoats on the left take advantage from a dead angle to approach Calvarrassa safely

The action ramps up on Monte de Azán with the french dragoons charging the heavy cavalry

While the scots wipe put the frenchmen on the hill

Sadly, in the center the redcoats break under french pressure

And even Wellington is killed in the rout

The french have broken through, but will it be enough?

While Picton reforms the rest of the army into a defensive position

Undaunted the british flee forwards, charging the village under artillery fire

The heavy dragoons at last push back  the dragoons, charging for the guns next followed by their comrades in arms

The light division goes all out into the villages

While the imperial dragons flee from the enemy

And the cavalry rides down the guns

With the situation stabilized around the hill, and the objective on british hands, it's only a matter of time until the french morale breaks

To compound the french defeat Calvarrassa is taken by the light division, sealing the game with the french trapped in the middle of the battlefield
