Ton conclude our Lustria campaign I've hosted today a four player megabattle in which a coalition of Empire and dwarfs faced off a foul alliance of skaven and ogres for the control of an abandoned pyramid in the middle of the jungle
My imperial army featured an expensive unit of demigryphs fielded thanks to some homerules I'll post shortly in the blog
The dwarf force was made up of hammerers plus two units of warriors and several warmachines
The ogres brought an assorted collection of monsters
While the skaven deployed their usual mass of warriors backed up by a ton of jezzails
Me and the dwarf player
The opposition
The Carroburg swordsmen were the first to climb the temple led by Ludwig Scharzhelm, the emperor's personal champion
The dwarfs opened ranks and entered the jungle
And oneshot the giant with a catapult that caused 6 wounds
The second turn saw the first charges, yethees and the ogre general smashing into the elites
While on the hill several native traps started killing gunners
First to fold were the yethees, beaten in combat by a combination of discipline and magic standards
The same that happened to the ogres, who then got caught by some unlikely speedy dwarves
On my own turn I then mass charged a unit of clanrats
Who lot half their numbers and fled
While the dwarves got a bullseye on the second unit of skavens who promptly fled
Keeping on with the charge I then smashed into the jezzails sweeping the fleeing yethees on the way
Even some leadbelchers fell to the forces of good, caught by the dwarf on open order
The skavens got a good shot with the warp lightning cannon however that wiped out my cavalry
But that also killed off the remaining jezzails
The last charge of the game saw the ogre gunners leg it
Sealing a solid victory for the human-dwarf alliance
We grabbed our post-victory lands and the campaign ended up like this: with the Empire on the lead, followed by dwarves, chaos and skaven and ogres tied up at the bottom with a single territory each
