Battle on the fields

The final push! With the separatists on the back foot, the Grand Army of the Republic makes a final effort to retake the panet Kuat. Led by Anakin Skywalker and his padawan, Ahsoka Tano, the clone troopers launch an all out assault on the capital city
Anakin jumps recklessly into combat, but engaged at the same time by Grievous and Ventress, he begins to suffer. His offensive stance card doesn't allow him to dodge, and the wounds start to pile up
In the cargo area, a small clone squad has taken an objective and finished off the B2 droids
Ahsoka comes to the rescue, but it's too late for her master, that falls unconscious to the ground
Undaunted, Snips takes down the "hairless harpy", while keeping  the "head clanker" at bay
Most of the droids have been destroyed by now, leaving the battlefied in clone hands
Ahsoka and Grievous fight it out, and the cyborg almost dies in the last turn
Finally the clones move forwad and grab three out of five objectives: Republic victory!

BARC speeder

BARC speeder bikes were designed by Aratech Repulsor Company, to give the Republic a sturdy military vehicle to replace the small and undergunned models deployed during the battle of Geonosis. The BARC would see service in virtually all the theatres of the war, and was even used by the Coruscant police force.
The speeder was painted in an eye catching republic red

I gave the pilots red markings to differentiate them from the footslogging grunts
The ion cannon can be replaced by a missile launcher, while the sidecar can be removed to leave only the bike, wich makes this quite a modular set

The kit is a bit complicated to put together, and I had that horrid feeling of finishing the assembly and seeing a leftover part. After some cursing and filing, I managed to put it in its place

Kuat City

The war rages on! With the Republic solidly entrenched in Kuat, the separatists launch an assault on the capital, to establich a base from wich to spread their evil dominance. Grievous himself leds the offensive, that clashes with Kenobi's forces outside Kuat City.
The Jedi Master leds from the front indeed, jumping into the central redoubt ahead of his men
The clones follow him closely, taking cover in the trees
First to fall are the B2, sniped by a missile from the BARC speeder
Both generals fight it out
But the evil cyborg is quickly dispatched
The Republic is in the enemy deployment zone and carries away the day

Heavy Coughing!

General Grievous! The final element of the separatist army is of course its leader. Grievous was a kalee that swore to destroy the Jedi after they prevented him from genociding a specie of mantis like aliens, that had invaded his planet and killed his grilfriend. After being gravely wounded he got a new droid body that houses what remains of his heart, lungs and brain, and allowes him to wield up to four lightsabers at once and sustain tremendous wounds. He's also armed with an uncivilized powerful blaster pistol. Despite his cowardice and apalling performance (was captured in the series by gungans of all people!), he's my favourite baddie character of the Clone Wars. You just gotta love his evil appearance, that malevolent laughter followed by his iconic coughing!
The model looks a bit wonky because it isn't designed to have a cape and four arms at the same time, so I had to tweak him a bit in order to fit all the parts

Hello there! Haha hey what's up General Kenobi! You are a bold one.

B2 superbattledroids

The B2 superbattledroids were an improvement on the previous B1 design, to make up for the weaknesses evidenced during the battle of Naboo. This model had improved armour and programming, coupled with thick duranium armour. The vital processors and sensors were buried deep inside the torso, wich allowed the B2 to keep fighting despite having suffered horrendous damage. Their cost was high however, and they never fully replaced the B1s as intended.

I gave one of the droids a separatist (Macragge) blue fringe to identify him as the unit's leader
