Battle of Aboukir

 Napoleon faces off an ottoman invasion on the shores of Aboukir Bay

 The french are way outnumbered

 First turk line

 Second line with cavalry in front

 The french begin by launching their dragoons at the redoubt

 But are repulsed

 Next comes the infantry

 That takes the redoubt while ottoman levy rides around

 Then the dragoons go for a mauled square but are again pushed back

 The square is then blown up by cannonfire

 In the left the kapikulu guard has charged a square but combat remains inconclusive

 Sipahis charge the french guns

 Routing the crews

 Then the dragoons are also charged

 The turks cut the left square to bloody ribbons

 And the sipahi run over the french riders

 In a bid to secure a tie Napoleon occupies a redoubt (wich grants one victory point)

The battle comes to an end with a draw

Battle of the Nile

 Battle of Aboukir bay: the french are anchored in line next to the coast with shoals in front while the british come from windward to conquer the enemy fleet and leave Bonaparte stranded in Egypt

 Nelson leds the fleet aboard HMS Vanguard

 First to open the ball are the tars, damaging the french vanguard

 The republicains attack the enemy instead of remaining in line

 Return fire causes little damage upon His Majesty's Ships

 In the british vanguard Nelson comes under heavy fire and his ship surrenders

 Meanwhile Brueys is busy with a boarding action

 The french go for the hand to hand to counter the british superior gunnery

 But not all goes according to plan

 French ships gang up on lone brits to force the issue

 The french frigates have sailed over the shoals and enveloped the english line

 A solitary brig is blown to pieces by the enemy

 Brueys finishes off his opponent and sails seeking new targets

 The brits are overpowerd by the enemy masses

 In the vanguard the mauled french launch grappling hooks

 This boarding action goes against the republicans, losing a ship that has been ravaged by artillery fire

 Concentrated fire also destroys this ship of the line

 The vanguard combat goes awry as more and more british ships come to help

 And the french strike their flags

 Another vessel is lost

 After a frigate comes to the rescue a surrounded british finally gives up

 l'Orient would have surrendered but for another frigate that arrived to save the admiral

 Finally another british man o' war surrenders under fire from four french ships

Incredibly the french have pulled off a win killing one more ship than the brits!

 French and mamelukes face off outside Cairo

 The egyptians have fortified Embabeh

 The french fleet sails up the Nile

 Under Murat the french left attacks the fortifications

 The dragoons rout the mass of fellahin

 While the infantry captures the earthworks

 The mamelukes charge the french riders

 The egyptians attack the center

 The french gunboat finally blows up the arabian dhow

 Surprisingly the mameluke guards break a french square

 And the dragoons are also cut to pieces

 With victory within their grasp the egyptians charge the redoubt

 Another square is charged by the guards, but this time they are repelled

 The french form a firing line...

... but too late, victory goes to the mamelukes!
