Inquisitrix Janiss has been a member of the Ordo Xenos since her first days, singled out in the Schola Progenium by Lord Asbeel due to her brilliance, she was apprenticed to him during decades, eventually ascending to the rank of Interrogatrix. When her master was killed by a Harlequin attack she took up the mantle of power and now leds the fight against those that would see the Imperium cast down. Unlike her more extremist colleagues from the Ordo Malleus she has an open minded approach to the xenos, having dealt with aliens like eldar and kroot in a number of times and dabbling in purportedly forbidden technology.
Janiss is equipped with a naval cutlass, a long las and an ornated laspistol, the lightweight armour she wears hides a powerful conversion field, and upon her back a psy matrix allows her to control eldar gun drones that she found during her investiagations
Mentor is Janiss's servoskull, the mortal remains of inquisitor Asbeel still serving the Imperium
