Third war for Armageddon: Parol's bait

Our next scenario of the camapign is Parol's bait: a group of frigates has lured part of the ork fleet into an ambush, and once the trap is sprung, the full might of the imperial fleet falls upon the unsuspecting orks.

Bait: 5 frigates, 200pts
Imperial reinforcements: 2 dictator cruisers 440pts

Orc fleet: 5 roks wit 1 warlord 440pts

The orks gain the reinforcement's value in victory points, the imperial reinforcements enter by one of the long sides of the board, the bait must be with the prow pointed to that board, the reinforcements may enter from the first turn.
Bait divided in two squadrons: green and red
The orcs deploy as far from the board were the imperials will appear as possible.
The cruiser Undaunted (front) and Hammer of wrath (back) appear, and after launching torpedoes are greeted by the ork gunz
The imperial carriers launch two waves of bombers
One of wich is passed through by one rok who instead of stopping, locks on the Undaunted, suffering some damage but inflicts two wounds on the Undaunted
The ork fleet surrounds the Undaunted, who has been left alone by the imperial player
After some locks on, the undaunted is destroyed

One frigate of red quadron is also sunk by the artillery of a lone rok in the ork left
Two ork roks have continued to advance to be in the other cruiser bow, and concentrate their guns on it, while launching torpedoes at maximum range against the frigates of green squadron, who shrug off all damage

The lone rok is detroyed eventually by two bomber markers, the most useful imperial weapon of the battle by far
The rok in front of the destroyed cruiser changes its heading and destroys one frigate with locked on gunz
While its torpedoes destroy another frigate of red squadron
The remaining roks concentrate their batteries on the His will, who is also destroyed, the rok in the far right only has one damage remainig, so after failing to disengage moves away from the battle

The battle ends with a resounding ork victory, as the two remainig frigates disengage to bring admiral Parol news of the defeat

The campaign goes on with easy ork supperiority

The third war for Armageddon 2: the landings

As the orcs invade the system after defeating the imperials at Pelucidar, a ramshackle fleet gathers around Armageddon led by the newly arrived black templars to prevent the landing of the bulk of the ork forces upon the planet.

Planetary landing scenario with 1000pts per side

Imperials: 1015pts

Black templar battlebarge Night's Vigil
Gothic class cruiser Gathalamor
Dominator cruiser Hyrcania
Dictator cruiser Jericoh
planetary defences: 30pts - 6x torpedo surface bases

Orks: 1000pts

Space hulk Orkadia: 600pts
4 roks: 400pts
5 transports
The imperials deployed at the ready around the planet
The orks seized the first move and advanced at all ahead full. In the imperial first turn the fleet spread to cover all the approaching zones, profiting from the gravity pull of the planet to turn 90ยบ
The orks advanced again at all ahead full and launched an impressive amount of torpedoes and assult boats in front of the battlebarge
The imperials answered deploying their own attack craft and stopping the barge with burn retros, while the surface bases launched their torpedoes. However, the three thunderhawks could just remove three markers, remaining one of them after passing their special save roll.
In the ork turn, the battlebarge was hitted hard by torpedoes and attack boats, losing one broadside, the machine room and impulsors.
The orks close in with the imperials, the hulk reloads all its fersome ordnanace, torpedoes and batteries raining death upon the surface bases, destroying half of them. The roks and the hulk push their way into the planet with all batteries blazing in lock on or waves of torpedoes. The imperials try to brace but the damage is too much and the Gathalamor is crippled
The hulk launches even more attack boats, leaving the battlebarge without weapons or engines save for the prow torpedoes and launch bays
The imperials manage to destroy a transport with the surface torpedoes however
After being bombarded turn after turn, the Gathalamor is finished off by assault boats
Overview: the imerials try to form a cordon around the planet, but some transports are starting to slip away, giving two landing points for the orks
Unable to turn, the battlebarge can do little more than launch thunderhawks, recieving broadsides from a rok in one side and assault boats in the other. The battle turns bad for the Imperium when the battlebarge and the dictator catch fire
The hulk escorts one transport into Armageddon, its guns and torpedoes, combined with the firepower of one rok destroy the remaining torpedo bases. That transport gives the orks two more landing points
The Hyrcania locks on a slippery transport that has passed the Jericoh by, and destroys it with massed macrocannon shells against whom there is no bracing
Burned and bombed, nothing more than a drifting hulk, the battlebarge losses its last damage and is destroyed. The catastrophic damage dice are rolled...
...scoring double six: the warp engines explode taking the ship to the warp and leaving no trace of the brave tempars!
The orks gain two more landing points and with a total of six achieve victory
The invasion of Armageddon has begun

Now let's actulaize the campaign map orks 2, imperials 1, seems that Ghazzghkull's forces are gaining the upper hand!

Battlefleet gothic terrain part 2

Two medium-sized planets, two moons and some debris/hulks

Scratchbuilt hulks that can also be used as debris field
The planet Armageddon, capital of the Armageddon Sector. The name comes from a final battle wich will be fought during the apocalypse of John, wich befits the epic tones of the tales of the war that GW has produced. The hives and rivers also have names taken from the grecoroman hell such as Hades, Acheron or Tartarus amongsts others.
The fire wastes with their ore mines
The dead lands with their water processing plants
The continent of Armageddon Secundus
 Reference maps

Cerbera base in the equatorial jungles, the novels tell us that this base is in a man-made clearing of the jungle, so I painted a clearing also arround it
 Helsreach
 Infernus
 Tartarus
 Hades
 Acheron
The ice planet Chosin, the name comes from a winter battle of the korean war so lack of originality again
An airless moon made with a golf ball, the roads and settlements in the nightside are painted in white, and in the dayside in metal
An Endor inspired moon covered with forests or jungle
A space station orbits Armageddon, surrounded by the debris of recent battles
Data about the planet provided to all captains and black templars of the fleet
