Battle for the crossroads

After a string of victories in Florida, the Confederacy stands ready to push the federals into the sea, the vital junction south of Bladwin is the first step to expell the invaders from southern soil
The 10th Tenessee proudly leds the attack
Yankees ready to bring freedom to the enslaved
Battle begins with a disappointing shot from the confederate artillery
Northern guns are far more effective, routing a rebel unit
The bulk of the southern forces then opens up a deadly volley that pushes back the foe
Rallied by a liutenenat the rebs take aim and destroy the federal artillery
In the face of such effective fire the yankees take cover behind the buildings
With the objective in the middle, both sides are ready for a close quarters engagement
In the left flank an impressive roll causes havoc amongst the invaders
The confederate gun keeps taking desultory potshots at Billy Yank
With time pressing the rebs take the objective
Making the federals come out of hiding to contest the crossroads
This first charge goes to the union, but then a second rebel unit piles in...
...totally anihilating the meddling republicans
With his forces decimated the union general orders the retreat to Jacksonville
