Titanicus forgetemple

I had some leftover  bits and they were perfect to build a cute little tecno-ziggurat dedicated to the benevolent machine god and its mortal avatar the Omnissiah. The round medallions are pipe terminations from sector mechanicus, while the heads are armiger faceplates

Legio Astorum warlord titan

My legio astorum maniple was a bit short of the 2000 points we play at so I ordered a Lucius pattern warlord from a 3D printer to round up the collection. Painting was pretty straightforward, a base metal dry brush with vallejo oily steel followed by a blue coat of medium blue and yellow for the armour plates. Highlighting and gold were the final touches. I also freehanded some stellar motives and the icon of both the legio and the forgeworld of Lucius.

I've also got one of the new plastic proteus land raiders and thought that the havoc missile launcher was just right for a battlefield asset

Epic 40k: Horus Heresy

Some time ago I made some rules for heresy epic, recently one of the users of Tactical Command edited them in a sensible and nice format so I decided to have a go at a 2nd edition of the rules. Note that all superheavy tanks use the same criticals as the imperial guard baneblade and shadowsword.

-Note: both falchion and fellblade/glaive cost 140 pts

Chaos daemons

My father gave me a box of lower abyssals for my saint, ideal for summoning into the battlefilds of the heresy. The box brings 20 heroic scale daemons and 8 imps or in GW terms 20 bloodletters, 4 unit fillers and 4 heralds. There are also options for giving them flme-spexwing hands (flamers of tzeentch?). Mantic has finally managed what no other company achieved, sell the stuff in gig enough boxes to store the models uright. This kit is great, the figures are really dynamic, with lots of spooky details such as bone scycthes(!) and have a comical aspect which fits well with their trolling rules:
All in all a good purchase with magnific detail and self storage! I rate it 9/10 due to lack of extra weapons.
 Bloodletters

My favorite head is this one: totally satanic, I used it in the squads "sergeants"
 And the best model
 2nd unit

I transformed one with wings and flames to use as Angron in Epic 40k
 Or a LOTR balrog

 Unit fillers...

 ...or Epic bloodthirsters?
 Angron&friends vs grey knights
 Finally, the heralds of tzeentch

Slaughter at Helsreach Bay

The war for Armageddon grounds on, the legio Metalica moves south to seize the production resources of a nearby factory while Grimaldus leds his forces out of Helsreach to face the orks on the open ash wastes
The ork armies remain idle while the legio seizes another factory and the balck templars move east
The blood axes warband moves to confront the templars
Who hold their ground while the legio moves west
As the blood axes move onto the templar positions battle ensues
A homebrew scenario: the armies deploy 60cmt far from each other and whoever has killed more points at the end of the battle is the winner, half strength detachments give half the points
The orks got the first turn and marched towards the imperial line
 Cofee makers onwards!
The fightas made a bombing run stripping some shields
The templars and Grimaldus dropped behind the gargants

And even killed one with their flimsy bolters. That's why 3rd ed Epic is cool you can kill anything with anyone unlike 40k where you need limitless D strength spam to blow a stompa
The battlewagons paid the price of their recklesness

After charging a warlord just one battlewagon remain

 Just two to go now
Grimaldus was killed by the gargant's gaze of Mork

The imperator killed another great gargant with the anihilator gun, the battlewagon was also erradicated by one warlord's weapons battery
The last gargant was felled by a melta cannon in the 5th turn
My father decided that we shouldn't recover killed troops with build points so his army was utterly anihilated (hence Grimaldus was also killed for good)

With one army less the future looks bleak for the orks
