Grey Knight Librarian

 I've painted this librarian conversion, the body is from the marines with several GK bits

The Anchinses incursion

 Kepping up with the 30k campaign I attacked the moon base in Anchinses, playing a zone mortalis game

 The world eaters were defending

 A blood angels praetor leads his terminators into to the fray

 The traitor psyker zapped two termies

 But then the blood angels closed in, charged and wiped out most of the XIIth legion, making the unit flee and tabling the enemy

The aquila waves over Anchinses once more

Exterminatus!

 This week is the traitor's trun to attacks and they launch their fleet against the loyalist blockade

 The mission was exterminatus with this planet as the target

 The sons of hours begin by launching waves of attack craft

 But a blood angel cruiser shows up on their flank and inutilizes the virus bombs with her torpedoes

 In the next turn a defending fireship kanmikazes herself aginst a cruiser and some bombers

 The loyalists form a blockade with the nova cannon toting dominator kept back

As the turns go on and the casualties mount the traitors concede

Lord Calvinus Acolytes

 Jor D'Ana has been serving inquisitor Calvinus since he defeated her in ritual combat on the feudal planet where she comes from. Having earned her fealty thanks to the advantage of his daemonic sword, the Inquisitor took her in his travels as personal bodyguard and enforcer. She's been improved with time thanks to the addition of numerous bionic implants like fierce augmetic eyes or steel fangs. Albeit equipped with an advanced bolter-glaive, sword and archeotech pistol she still favours some trinkets from her tribal life, like Ukuul feathers, a wolf pelt mantle and a chip of sacred obisidian.

 Interrogator Luther is the newest apprentice to inquisitor Calvinus, his lord's job is a dangerous and risky one so his journeymen tend to have brief lifespans; Luther however has sticked with his master for more than a year, a remarkable feat. He came first to the attention of Calvinus when he was condemned for trafficking with warp artefacts in the hive world of Golvanda, altough most in the Imperium would agree that such crime merits a death sentence (or worse) the inquisitor has a more open mind, so he used his rosette to squirrel Luther away for "punishment".  Despite his youth the interrogator is eager to learn and carries all sorts of esoteric apparel for his lord's use into battle.

Grey Knight Paladins

 Santa came around this year and left me some nice grey knights, I eagerly opened them up and began the conversion work, paint took a bit longer but they were finished just in time to greet the new year.

These guys aren't your most competitive option out there but I've got a guard+imperial knight combo for that and I'm second in my league anyway (after the nefarious eldar of course).

 For these I wanted something truly special so I decided to turn them into homages to artwork from the old daemonhunters codex, my first 40k love. Here we have the "grey knight hero", a HQ option

 To keep with the st Michael-George/holy knight theme I gave them flaming swords and a silver drybrush to make their armour gleam

 Subtle RGB was thrown into the mix of course

 They have the names of the four archangels and a prophet

 Glowing eyes from casting psychic powers

 This guy had allota skulls on him

 Rare colour art from the back cover, oh bygone days when colour was reserved for the covers and miniature photographies!

 Yesh so detailed a model and yet they can't pre drill storm bolters

 The standard bearer is the least good looking model. I left the banner unglued to paint it better and when I put it in place it covered all the knight's front thanks to having picked the wrong right arm, never leaving banners aside again
