I'm resurrecting my man o war hobby beginning by some shore fortresses. They're nedded for one scenario and as generic terrain. Two are standard medieval, while the third is a modern age fort for nations such as the empire or Bretonnia

LotR warg riders
Painted these orcs for battle of the five armies, only Beorn to sculpt and paint now.
They come from the Red Box's alliance series, the mainstay for 1/72 fantasy minis

Mordheim: defend the find
Played another game of our mordheim campaign, my father was using a new dwarf warband so it would be their baptism of fire
The dorfs had to defend a pyramid where their treasure was stashed
My warband was composed of seven ogres, here the latest addition
I rushed to the stairs
The new ogre was killed by the dwarf noble. Unauspicious beginning!
The dwarf engineer dodged some native traps
The ogre guide charged a lone dwarf thunderer
Some of my ogres began climbing the pyramid, while my captain duelled with a slayer, giving him eventually the mighty doom he was looking for
The noble keps felling ogre after ogre
The stubborn engineer was eventually knocked down by a carnivorous plant
Finally my captain, Goldbeard, decided to take matters in his own hand, challenging the pesky noble
The guide finished off his oponent with ease
As did Goldbeard
The engineer also was done for, and with only two dwarfs remaining my father conceded
More Mordheim next year, with more warbands and, perhaps, a change of setting.
Campaign game 1
At the GW they have begun a planetary conquest campaign, I joined in and this was my first game.
I brough an alliance of salamanders and cadian guard against even more guard and marines.
The enemy was a nicely coherent Catachan force with raven guard support
Backed by russes, which work well in that regiment, repeating the random dice to determine the number of shots of the main battlecannon
My ubiquitous laserstators also made an appearance, killing all the enemy battletanks in turn one
The chimeras rushed across the board
The venerable dread withstood the first turn punishment passing his multiple saves, but in the second a mass of laser fire rained on him...
...and with a thunderous explosion he was gone!
The chimeras were destroyed by massed antitank fire, and the juicy guards inside wiped out between Pask's gatling and the advancing conscripts
With massive losses and only three enemies killed, the guard player conceded, and I got to conquer a chunk of the planet Konor

Mordheim Ogre
Painted an ogre for my warband, as the rest of the posse he has plenty of tatoos: the warhammer world, sartosa, Manaan symbols, sea animals, a siren and some grilfriend ones ^_^.
