The forbidden jungle

Second skirmish of our lustrian campaign, this time an island hopping scenario in a deadly swamp

Amazons and lizardmen will fight it out for control of the small islets spread all over the table

Amazons get the initiative and rush for the central island 

The jungle begins to stir

And an amazon scout is knocked down by a carnivorous plant

In the second turn the warrior women launch an all out charge into the saurians

While another handmaiden of the gods runs for the furthest island

All the while a heavy rain has been falling on the battlefield, hindering movement and reducing drastically the range of the bows

Equipped with a claw of the old ones, this totem warrior takes down a saurus easily

Colel, who distinguished herself in the previous game shines again taking down a skink

A lashworm springs from the fetid waters bitting off a good chunk form  a lizardman

In the central island the combat goes on, with losses in both sides

The skink priest dodges a carnivorous plant

And then snipes my priestess with his shortbow

The last saurus is also killed

Joined by a skink hero

With victory in their grasp, the amazons charge the diminutive foe

But one of them is devoured by another lashworm, the place is crawling with these critters!

The skink priest endures the charge of three amazons

And while Colel fends off the lizardmen archers

The priest kills another amazon, which brings the to the same number of warriors on the central island as the lizardmen

With two islands under each warband and the central, contested the game ends in a draw
