Jovis Fossae

After the victorious landing at Mondus Ocullum the loyalists push toward the heretical seat of power in Mons Olympus clashing with the Legio Mortis
A terrifying psi titan marches in the middle of the terran host
Wiping a warhound in turn one with its sinistramanus
The lighter astorum titans engage their traitor counterparts
Meanwhile in the center one of my warhounds has managed to recover some lost crew
In the second turn the warlord sinister moves unnaturaly quick and destroys another warhound
On the other side of the battlefield a lone reaver takes cover behind a generatorum from the fire of two warlords
The game turns in favour of the loyalists when the warhound with the objective manages to quit the battlefield
Then the traitors reveal their hand when a warlord rushes for my board edge
Legio Astorum is having none of that, and the warlord falls when the Spirit of Victory blows its legs away, wrapping up the game

Horus heresy board game

Hi all, I've just made a board game for the heresy, the map was borrowed from here  and you can find the markers and the rulebook below. The map should be printed at dina-2 size.

Card edits:
- Daemon primarchs do not remain in play
- Replace "combat value" with number of markers (ex: double combat value=double number of markers)

Landing at Mondus Gamma

After beating the Warmaster at the Siege of Terra the loyalists begin the Scouring of the galaxy starting by the corrupt planet of  Mars, where the legio Astorum lands to exterminate the traitorous engines of Legio Mortis in the battle for the Mondus Gamma forge
The Spirit of Victory marches into the fray flanked by the smaller warhounds
A pair of scout titans deploy on the left to flank the enemy
The right is held by a corsair maniple of three reavers and some auxilia tanks
After ripping the void shields off a mortis engine the machine spirit of  the Astorum warlord takes over and runs recklessly forwards in its thirst for vengeance
The traitor warhounds have manged to reach my backline, but my reavers manoeuvre deftly around them coming into optimal firing positions
Princeps senioris Kallian retakes control of his engine and rips into the enemy torso with missiles and plasma blasts
Next to it a sneaky warhound has moved itself behind a massive warlord and punishes its chest with accurate fire from its diminutive weapons
The warhound squadron almost kills the enemy command titan with targeted shots
But the killing blow is given by the Spirit of Victory
Amongst these metal giants the super heavy tanks of the imperial army fight their own personal duel.
The second warlord is finished by a powerfist to the torso
With that last blow the battle comes to an end, falling back the traitors towards Olympus Mons

Titanicus forgetemple

I had some leftover  bits and they were perfect to build a cute little tecno-ziggurat dedicated to the benevolent machine god and its mortal avatar the Omnissiah. The round medallions are pipe terminations from sector mechanicus, while the heads are armiger faceplates

Legio Astorum warlord titan

My legio astorum maniple was a bit short of the 2000 points we play at so I ordered a Lucius pattern warlord from a 3D printer to round up the collection. Painting was pretty straightforward, a base metal dry brush with vallejo oily steel followed by a blue coat of medium blue and yellow for the armour plates. Highlighting and gold were the final touches. I also freehanded some stellar motives and the icon of both the legio and the forgeworld of Lucius.

I've also got one of the new plastic proteus land raiders and thought that the havoc missile launcher was just right for a battlefield asset

Necrober: munitorum container

A botched job this time trying to do a yellow container. I don't like painting yellow, it's a hard colour to apply without the lower layers showing so you need to apply several clear base coats to do it right; I tried to skip this step by spraying the container but the paint was so transparent that I had to lay several coats eating away at the detail. The final result was less tan optimal, with too small rust patches here and there and spots without ink.
