Assault on Mordax Prime

 

The final battle has come, after the fleet has cleared orbit the Black Templars and their knight allies land on the forgeworld of Mordax Prime to erase the heretics that taint its surface

A desultory first turn shooting precedes the advance of the massive war engines

Who engage their counterparts in no man's land

The templars exit their drop pods and charge the alpha legion, purging the traitors with bolt pistol and chainsword

In the center the lancer spears an enemy crusader with its shock lance

While one of its lesser brethren wins a duel against an armiger helevrin

Battle ends with the fall of an enemy dreadnought, killed by a fallen templar with its last breath
