Battle of Cynoscephalae 197 BC

This battle confronted a Roman army allied with greeks from the Aetolian league with macedonians allied with a pure hoplites army.
We mixed two basic impetus lists for each army: polybian romans with magna graetia versus alexander era macedonians and spartans.
The battle proved clearly the superiority of the hoplites, who conquered the opposing flank of the contrary army suffering slight losses, the quickness of the destruction of the macedonian forces by the greek allies assured the roman victory althought all the legionary units except one (with the consul inside) were destroyed by the spartans at the end of the battle.
We could say that mixing lists from different periods is unadviseable since the ones of "vol2: age of hoplites" were clearly overpowered respect the later ones.
