Tor Sethai militia

With my eye set on a future fantasy campaign next year I've started to paint the high elves of a friend. They will be my dad's army, replacing the skaven that performed so badly in Lustria. The theme will be the mountainous realm of Caledor, with plenty of dragons/dragon princes around, but even such haughty nobles need some peasants to bulk up their ranks in battle, so have here the city militia of Tor Sethai, the capital of Caledor.
The models were basecoated in white, so I left clothes, spears and shields in that colour  to speed up the painting process
For the steel I went with something different from that what I usually do, laying up first a basecoat of a dark gunmetal grey and over it a drybrush of a more silvery colour
Both champion and standard bearer were prepainted by the owner

The sump docks

After the nerve-wracking spider hunt our gangs return to Sump City, and a battle erupts between the redemptionists and a newcomer guilder team in the docks of the town
Both gangs deploy hugging the cover
The guilders seize the first turn and advance tentatively

A redemptionist deacon takes aim with his machinegun, and it jams at the first shot!
His companion however has better aim, and drops a guilder merc from the gantry
Led by Klovis the sump crusade advances by the left eviscerators at the ready

And soon the first flamer templates start to fall on the miserly foe
Unwilling to get her expensive gown singed, the guilder retreats behind some pipes with two pit fighters
Klovis and his templars close distances and take out the first line of mercenaries
Defeating the foe after a failed rout test
